Digital primary source and archive collections

*The subscription to ProQuest Access 350 has been renewed until 31 July 2024*

In June 2020 the Library set up a new ProQuest Access 350 subscription for the University of Edinburgh, which gives access to almost all available ProQuest primary source databases until 31 December 2021.

This content includes:

• Around 300 new primary source databases from ProQuest and Alexander Street Press
• 230M+ pages of collections, spanning 600 years of history
• Large collection of historical periodicals, with 325+ years of coverage
• Archive of 50+ newspapers covering 350 years
• Comprehensive collection of US and UK government documents
• Increased collection diversity with databases focussing on black history, women's history, LGBT+ history and indigenous history.

We're currently working to integrate all of this new content into DiscoverEd, library webpages and subject guides. To explore what content is available please browse the catalogue below.
